I went on a second round interview with an oil field service company; it was a two day affair. On completion of the second day, they took us out for dinner and drinks, there were like 12 of us on the interview. Well I decided it would be a good idea to get hammered. So I got blackout drunk. Apparently I was talking about the merits of my favorite drinking game, flip table. Surprisingly, I got the job.

I only had around 15 drinks, so I think I’m good. Clothes don’t usually come off until around 35 or so. I’m pretty sure I’ve got all the clothing I left with, at least.

I don’t believe in that advice. Especially when you’re at a party with people who have been talking up the party for days about how it’s a big booze-up, and you work for a resort and they’re letting you have free rooms to discourage drunk driving... Sure I probably could have limited myself to four or five over the night, but to be fair me with 15ish drinks in seven hours is hardly more than a strong buzz. Two drinks and I barely even notice, and still blow zero when I get pulled over (because I was driving slowly around 10pm on a Friday because the Niva was doing weird things. True story) and the cop smells it on my breath. Two drinks is why bother territory.
